Skincare: Splashing into Cool Water by Milk Makeup

Beauty & Grooming

When it comes to skincare, I’m a total newbie. I’ve been in the mood to explore different skincare products that I want to add into my daily routine. I’ve never heard of Milk Makeup until I saw it on Justin Livingston‘s Instastories.

Last week, I took a trip to my local Sephora to see it with my own eyes. I originally wanted to try the Milk Makeup Hydrating Oil Stick that he mentioned in his stories, but it didn’t make sense for me to use in Florida. I think it would be best used for places that are drier in climate. I perused the other sticks that were located next to it and I picked up Cool Water. I read the packaging on the back and it mentioned that it was good for reducing puffiness around your eyes, leaving a cooling effect. I get puffiness when I wake up and it makes me look uber tired, so I wanted to try this product out to see what results I find. The price for this gem sits at $24 which isn’t a bad deal.

I had no idea how to use this, to be honest. I had to look up a YouTube tutorial just to find out if I used it correctly. LOL. But in the video, Dianna Ruth, the COO of Milk Makeup talked about the how the gel stick is made of natural sea minerals and caffeine which gives it its instant cold affect. She also mentions that it instantly de-puffs, increases circulation, and reduces redness in the face. She gave a tip to keep the stick in the fridge and use when you wake up (which really helps).

I’ve been using it for about a week now and I do have to say that it definitely helps with de-puffing my eyes in the morning. I wash my face first and then I use it on my eyes and all over my face. It almost feels like your skin is dewy when you wear it. When I run my fingers across my face, I can definitely feel the product there. It feels light on my skin and makes my face feel soft too. I also observed that it takes several minutes for it to settle into your skin.

The packaging for this stick is super small, but don’t let that intimidate you. It’s great for on-the-go if you need to give your face a refresher during the day. I know that I’m going to be using it a lot when I’m traveling and after my workouts this summer. I’m so glad that I picked it up and decided to try. I can’t wait to try out more skincare products and share them with you all.
