I secretly stalk the Zara website (pretty much every day) and I saw this mesh top in the “New Items” section a couple of weeks ago. My first reaction: “Omg, I’ve been looking for something like this! I need to buy it NOW!” Typically that’s how I justify all of my purchases, FYI. Then my second reaction: “Well, it looks like it’s cropped and I want it to be longer…where would I wear this to? How would I style this for everyday?” I added the item to my cart just to save it for later if I decided I wanted to buy it. I continued to browse through the site and I remember noticing a model wearing the mesh top styled with a white button down shirt and I was like, “Wow, I like how the stylist put this look together”. That’s what sold me to buy this top and inspired me to recreate it and make it my own.
The only thing I changed from the original look (which I can no longer find the image on the Zara website) were the bottoms. The patch denim cohesively ‘meshes’ with the overall look I wanted to achieve and I couldn’t be more happy about it.
