Leave it up to Instagram to helping me find a new face mask to try! The new Ole Henriksen Cold Plunge Pore Mask recently came out in early/mid May. The brand has been promoting their product heavily on Instagram, using multiple Influencers to test out their product. I remember seeing so many blue faces on my feed that I wanted to find out more about this product.
According to the Ole Henriksen website, the face mask “instantly reduces pores and controls oil up to 8hrs”. A recent Instagram friend was promoting the product and I asked her, “How do you really like it?” She responds, “It’s so good! Perfect for the summer and my pores have reduced significantly!” (Not verbatim, but it was something like that lol).
I’ve been waiting for this product to get into stores and I waited about 2 weeks for it to get to my local Sephora. I honestly didn’t want to wait for an online order so I told myself that it would be worth the wait & it was definitely worth it!
When I try a new product, I like to test it out for about a week or so. I bought this face mask a couple of day before my trip to the Bahamas and I took it with me to try it there. When I first applied the mask, it glided on super smooth. The scent of mint permeated my facial surrounding, but it wasn’t an intense smell. Once my face was covered in the beautiful blue substance, I could feel the coolness on my skin.
I let the mask sit on my face for 15-minutes just like the instructions mentions. I washed my face with cool water and instantly felt my skin feeling refreshed and with a “cool feeling”. I don’t know how to explain it exactly, but it’s like chewing a piece of mint gum and drinking cold water afterwards…but on your face, if that makes sense!
I dried my face and I felt my pores tightened and my skin didn’t feel dried out. Now that is results I can stand by! So far, I’ve used this face mask 3x’s and I honestly have to say that this product is definitely a keeper!
The price for this mask is about $36 dollars and I try to use it at least 2x a week. So far, I really like this product and I highly suggest you try this out if you’re looking to try something new for the summer.
