The burnout has been real the past couple of days and I have been trying to get back on track. I almost feel a bit lethargic and not energized to do anything. I finally took some time away to do some reflecting and I’ve concluded that I haven’t given myself a break.
I’ve been working on posting at least 4-5 times a week lately and that’s been pretty good for someone who’s working a full-time job. Activities such as: shooting looks, writing blog posts, laying out my grid for Instagram, networking with bloggers, going to Happy Hour’s. It can really be exhausting if you’re always on the go-go-go. And don’t get me wrong, I have such a good time when I do all of these things, but there’s one thing I haven’t done…take time out for myself to recharge.
This particular season I’m in is stretching me SOO much! And it’s quite uncomfortable. But I want to be consistent and continue the work that I’m doing on a weekly basis. I just have to make sure that I’m giving myself the time to re-charge. Meaning, I have to get some alone time, sleep in a bit longer, and make sure that I’m eating right and drinking enough water. If I look back at all the weekends I’ve had, I haven’t done any of that. No wonder why I’m feeling the way that I’m feeling.
Goals for myself for April:
- Get proper rest
- Spend time disconnected from technology: Social Media, Dating Apps, Etc.
- Focus on healthy eating and staying hydrated
