If lace & flowers had a baby, it would be this ASOS shirt (similar) that I’m wearing for sure. I actually remember when I first bought this ASOS lace & floral shirt for New Years last year and I was a bit hesitant to wear it out. We still live in world where people still define gender norms and people like to talk. But one of the reason’s why I started my blog was to dispel the gender norms we have in society about what is “masculine” or “feminine”.
I do have to admit, this top from ASOS is a bit risqué, but whenever I wear it, I feel so sexy. Is that so hard to want to feel? To be sexy and not be judged for it? Thankfully, I’m slowly developing the courage to wear what I want without having negative thoughts about what other people “might” think. What I try to remind myself everyday is that you “cannot pay your bills with other people’s opinions” so DO YOU BOO.
Challenging the status quo is quite scary, but I know that I have a great support system behind me that love how I dress. And I hope to inspire other guys who are afraid to try something different and allow them the opportunity to experiment. If I can do, you can too!
